(Updated 5/18)
Above is a calendar of what I plan for the final weeks of school. (Click to enlarge.) Due to testing and other end-of-year activities that create a chaotic schedule, all of these dates are SUBJECT TO CHANGE. Please note the following: World Geo Final is a final exam on all 31 countries, 7 continents, and 4 oceans that we learned about in the first semester.
On the final day of class, there will be two tests... The first will be U.S. Geography covering all 50 states plus Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico. Unfortunately, we will not have time to go over the last remaining states in every class. Be sure to learn them on your own. I will print information for every student who asks, and I would recommend using the "free" time when you're in a holding room not testing.
The second will be a cumulative exam on all the U.S. History content we've learned all year. We have made 101 cards over the course of the year. Each student will get 14 different topics (out of the 101) which they will have to describe to the best of their ability. I highly, HIGHLY recommend that you study for all FOUR of these tests starting NOW. Finish the year strong and go into the summer ready for the incredible challenge (and wake-up call) of freshman year of high school. These four test grades, along with the Unit 13-14 cards, will be your last grades of the year. 12-13-14 Test was a test on all three units covering the events before, during, and after the Civil War. Unit 12 cards have already been turned in. Unit 13 and 14 cards were due the day of the test.
